Where it all began
Where it all began
Our farm stood here long before either of us arrived. The main building dates from the 16th century and has been in the family ever since. Every generation has added something, and to this day everything is built on these old walls.

Our parents' extension
Our parents give the farm a new face: a modern extension, with the whole surroundings redesigned. Our father was a carpenter, so almost everything is made by hand, piece by piece, over years, built by himself. Anyone who looks closely today can still see his signature in many details.

We take over
In 2017 our father loses his life in a forestry accident. What he had begun was not yet finished: a large house, left standing as a shell. For Markus and me it was quickly clear that we would see it through. And it was precisely this thought, carrying on his project, that gave rise to the idea of renting it out.

We expand
Over the years we realised how much we enjoy this. Having guests, spending time with them, offering them a beautiful place. So we set out once more on a grand scale, extending and refining the house with a wellness area and plenty of finishing touches, so that a holiday with us feels right in every way.
Much of it we did ourselves, the way we learned it from our father. In the end the house got its name too, and we have rented it out as Schmolti's Chalet ever since.
